There is no season such delight can bring
As summer, autumn, winter and the spring.
~William Browne
And what is your favorite season? I do like the variety of the seasons. And today, can not tell you my favorite. Each and every one has a place, right? :)
Daylilies, well there ya go, they tolerate all seasons. Daylilies do well here in Zone 7. Here it is, mid September and there are several rebloomers showing their stuff.
Now is a good time to purchase and plant daylilies. Three - four weeks prior to the first frost is a right time for fall planting. Daylilies will have time to get established prior to frost. So .... get on out there. Make a new flower bed, add to an existing flower bed or share with a friend. Daylilies make a great perennial. Check 'em out at Oakville Farm.
Hope you have a good day. Until next time, Happy Gardening.

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. ~Albert Camus
Yes, it is almost Autumn, September 23, 2011, I believe. Autumn is my favorite time of year. I so like the colors ... yellow, brown, orange, red. And the holidays ... Halloween, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving. And events ... our NC State Fair, local art/craft events, Farmer's Markets.
Our State Fair, an agricultural fair, comes at the best time of the year, during the month of October, usually accompanied by cool days/nights, light rain showers. The coolness seems to make the animals a little perkier/more active. And all the 4-H events! Cows, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, horses and more. And the exhibits! Gourds, cake decorating, dressmaking, watermelon, apples, canning, baking and more. And entertainment! Clogging, fireworks, midway
