Want to send out a thanks to ....Larry, Jere and Cindy for recent daylily purchases. Your new plants should provide you with good color this summer. A reminder, 6-8 hours of sunlight per day and water weekly. And other than that, patience for the time when scapes send up buds, buds mature and open to beautiful blooms. The flower stays open for one day, withers, then one or more blooms on the scape open for all to see.
Our Happy Returns daylily is currently blooming. A small yellow bloom. It is also a reblooming daylily. That means the dayliliy will bloom , rest, and bloom again. It may bloom for many times during the growing season. Here in Zone 7, ours may bloom up through October, before the first frost certainly.
