After yesterday's blog, had several phone calls from friends, telling of other Christmas memories. Like ....
One local family, with children who drove from miles around, dressed up in their finest and all attended Christmas eve worship service.
A group of neighbors gathered together, drove to local nursing homes and sang Christmas carols to the patients.
All family members piling into the car at night, riding throughout the city/neighborhood/countryside looking at the
marvelous Christmas lights.One family, whose husband was retired from the military, would travel to base to prepare packages to be sent to soldiers who were serving overseas.
Grandpa would read from the Bible while all sitting on the floor, in
chairs, on laps and listen to the Baby Jesus story.Opening gifts on Christmas eve, so folks could serve food on Christmas Day at a local shelter.
All the stories were shared with warmth and love. Hope you find time to remember a happy thought. Maybe make anew!
