Gardening is about enjoying the smell of things growing in the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally taking the time to soak up a little peace and serenity.  ~Lindley Karstens

Oakville Farm blog, yes here we are.  A good place to share thoughts and ideas about daylilies, outdoors, flowers.  You might see daylily photos, farm photos, posters or more.  Hope you will visit our blog as often as you can.  You never know what you might see.

If you have any thoughts or ideas on what you would like to see here at Oakville Farm blog, shoot us a note.  Love to hear from you.

Was asked last week, why refer to areas in the outdoors as "gardens".  So started thinking about that ... other words used to describe gardens could be ... outdoors, park, soil, plot, lawn, cultivated area, arena.   Whatever the word,  hope you are able to get out and enjoy.  When traveling, look for a botanical garden to visit, or a park to walk thru.  As I say so many times, please take time for outdoors.

Check out our site, OAKVILLE FARM, to see what daylilies are available.  All field grown.  Dug up, right here on site.   Thanks to David for visiting us yesterday.

Hope you have a good day and until next time, Happy Gardening.

PS   We proudly support Relay For Life, American Cancer Society.  Our Relay theme for this year is "Somewhere Over The Rainbow ... there's a CURE!"  One never knows who will become stricken with cancer or when.  Funding for cancer research is so important.  A hope is that one day there will be a cure for cancers.  And so many cancers there are.  We are promoting information on Kidney Cancer.   Our event begins today and concludes tomorrow at noon.

Until next time ......
