"The world's favorite season is the spring.
All things seem possible in May."

-  Edwin Way Teale

Yes, May, the month of May, is here.  Again, where have the four previous months gone?  Oh my.

This month is a pivotal time for growing season.  More rain/less rain?  Winds/calmness?  Heat/coolness?  We average about 4 inches of rain this month.  Temps average 78 high to 57 low.  All just perfect for growing your vegetable garden or flower garden.  Daylilies certainly thrive under these conditions.  Here in Zone 7, north central North Carolina, greenery abounds.  All of our daylilies are up and thriving.  Have had about 3 1/4" of rain in past week.  Just perfect.

Check out our website, OAKVILLE FARM to see what daylily offerings we have.  From short to tall, red to white, from extra early to late season bloomers, we have a great variety.

Hope you have a good day and until next time, Happy Gardening.
