Thanks to our lovely customers for shopping with us today. Hope you got the plants in the ground before the rain.
We just had a wonderful downpour, lasting about 10 minutes. Enough for the leaves to perk up and scapes to stretch a little higher! Our Happy Returns daylily, a small yellow one, is blooming right now. And so many other ones are sending up scapes. This is such an exciting time.... anticipation of new blooms, daily. Remember that daylilies need about an inch of water per week while sending up blooms. Will make for more vivid colors and large blooms.
We had begun watering the daylilies yesterday, but turned off the watering system today when the raincloud and dark sky approached.
