Here we are with another edition of Oakvillefarm blogspot. Our reblooming daylilies are really really showing themselves. This summer's weather has been sooooo good for growing daylilies: more average like temperatures (89-90 degrees), not the 95+ degrees for days even weeks on end. That is however about to change, forecasts are for 98 degrees and higher with heat indexes near 104 for several days. YIKES!!! And rains, although the rains have not come at perfect times, they have come at opportune times. Like yesterday and last night, more than 4 inches of rain. And there does not seem to be any runoff, it just soaked right in. Skies are overcast this morning and with that, everything outside seems to have a richer, stronger color. Bolder, if you will.
No new photos for today. Hoping that all of our daylily friends are having good growing this year. And be sure to think of new daylilies for next year. Various daylily heights, colors, textures....there is such an assortment and such beauty to behold with daylilies.
Until next time, Happy Gardening.
