"Live in each season as it passes: breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit."
– Henry David Thoreau

The weekend already! What plans have you? Looks like gardening will be on tap for today. Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes, what shall we do with all those tomatoes? Sandwiches? That is always my favorite summertime meal! Maybe make tomato sauce, won't that just taste divine on a cold evening this winter?

And corn, what to do with that tasty corn? Freeze it? Cook it and eat it fresh with butter and salt? I have a friend who pulls it fresh off the stalk, soaks it in water, cooks on the grill ... oh WOW, it is delicious!!!! Or maybe cook it husk in the microwave, again so moist and tasty.

Will also be reevaluating daylilies ... planning to make a new daylily flower bed. Where will they receive more than six hours of sunlight each day? Which bloom colors compliment each other? Which new ones to purchase? Oh, decision, decisions!

Hope you will spend time outdoors (early...you will want to beat the heat!). Also share the day with family and friends. Have a good day and until next time. Happy Gardening.

PS thanks to Red and Lamar for allowing me to photograph their harvest.
