Monday ...

Give a weed an Inch and it will take a Yard! ~Author Unknown

"Ya, Think?" Yes, weeds, they do seem to want to try to take over. Nutt grass, Horse nettle, Wire grass ... unwanted in the yard with daylilies. I say, plant lots and lots of daylilies. Daylilies grow quickly, are tolerant of varied soil types, and show much beauty during the boiling sun of summer.

A good daylily cultivar is Tuscawilla Tigress. This large blossom daylily is bright orange with a dark eyezone and yellow-green throat. It is a rebloomer. Tuscawilla Tigress stands about 32" tall. It is a tetraploid. And this indicates a thick blossom, brighter color, stronger stem. We sell this "beaut" of a daylily at Oakville Farm for $9.00 per double fan.

All for this day. Have a restful night and until next time, Happy Gardening.
