Phew! Sure is hot here today. Humidity is increasing, therefore heat index is pushing the temps higher and higher! It is looking like, via the internet, there is a band of rain/storms headed our way. Sure could use the rain.
Have soaker hoses on a few plants. Aren't those hoses just the best? Our friends Earl and Phyllis gave us our first soaker hose and that was it ... I was hooked. Might want to try one. I use it under the dripline of a tree, laid around newly planted bushes/shrubs or on the daylily rows. The water is more concentrated in an area, there is less overhead evaporation and it is just simply ... more effective way to water.
Heading outdoors to check move those hoses, then gonna crank up the music (Alabama and Lynyrd Skynyrd) and make a good evening. Hope you have one as well.
